:>
The only problem is probably that most of your's biggies are far far away from our border. And rail is so expensive that sometimes flights are cheaper. So it's really hard to get to guys. Think about some biggies closer to our sides or maybe  very close to big cheap airports. Could help :D
Cheers :)

Exactly. That is our problem too. We are far away from our eastern border and even to Gdansk it takes nearly 12 hours driving by car. There are Qualifiers nearer to us.

This year's ECQ takes place at Frankfurt am Main though, the city with the biggest airport of Germany (if not Europe). Maybe there are some cheaper flights. But it IS far away from you, I know.

Hey thanks. That is a tremendous lot of information and exactly what I was looking for. I love to see what decks were played and how they performed. I'm surprised one had to get 1/7 to go into finals. Glad to see that evil hitting weenie dom did not make it (sorry Maciej). Congratulations to Mr. Baranski for getting away with the prizes and all the finalist. I'd like to see the Hatchling deck btw.

Concerning moving butts :D: VtES scene in Germany is almost completely based in Western Germany. That really is a pity and we don't know, why the heck nobody in our new Bundesländern seems to play VtES. Maybe there are some language issues. But even in Berlin (with many universities around) you can't find any organised players. I actually know of just one player in Greifswald, Frank, who moved from Frankfurt one year ago. He could visit you at bigger tournaments but I don't know if he likes to go there alone. Other players don't like the big distances they have to go, Bockwurst or not . Unfortunately that is true for you players of Poland too I guess as we didn't see you often at our biggies.
I guess we have to wait until EC to meet each other. But if you like you all are very much invited to our ECQ 19.4.08 again in Frankfurt.

And: Who won?

(And by the way: "Is there anybody out there?" Pink Floyd - The Wall)

Remember, remember.

Looks, like we'll have some visitors from Swiss, France, Belgium and Holland, maybe Austria. We're just missing some players from eastern Europe. That means YOU have to come .

Hope to see you :D.

That people surely create a nice game-environment. I also often watch the final or play some fungames. Some people have to drive some hours though so I can understand, if they leave before. That is mostly the reason. We have some bad losers in our ranks, but they are a clear minority.

dont worry joscha nya is just teasing miriadel:p
i dont know how do you organise tournaments in Germany, but in Poland we always have 2 finals
1 for players with mosts points, and the 2nd with players who scored least, we call the 2nd "paraolympics"
so nya didnt mean to call your ecq paraolympics he just assumed you guys have 2nd final as well.

Ah, okay, now I understand (but nevertheless we Germans DO score lousy these days, hope we will get better).
This is a good idea though. Most of the time people over here leaving after third round. Especially if they are frustrated because of a bad day scoring zero. Maybe I can win some of the worst to play a paraolympics final. I guess, Miriadel don't plan to be part of it

... but will put the event into my calendar and hope nothing else will come up at the same date

Cool. Didn't know, that EC of Legends was held here. Bad advertising I'd say .

I'd be glad to see you.

But still, Frankfurt is too far for a typical Polish student to pay for a trip to. And I ain't going to western Germany switching trains 8 times anymore ;)

I can understand that, too bad . Maybe you can launch a car ?
