I would say he had a great luck for playing up to that moment, he should be ousted before, but his pray was playing eagle sights and helping him to survive, and i still don't know why, maybe he want cycle some cards. He was playing very wird deck, some kind of mixtured palla grande deck and weenie auspex, in one turn he had seven bleed card at his hand and in another he had 3 wakes, eagle sight and some other intercept
And some words about cheating at tournament, besides finals I think it is very easy to cheat, maybe even easier than in casual game. Players are focused at their strategy and cards, very often they even don't know how many pool other players have.
For example in EC day 1 I have a game when my grand prey played govern superior, nothing unusual but I had a strange feeling and was curious if the vampire he was governing was for sure younger, when he transfer out this vampire, it turned out that he was the same age as acting vampire, so he obviosuly cheated, but no one beside me considered this. Another popular trick is playing master after you played direct intervention. I'm not saying that every palyer who did this is a cheater but they are severals doing it intentionally :/
