The V:EKN endeavours to help V:TES grow in popularity through the embracing of new players as well as through the support of the existing fans.The V:EKN is the organization responsible for sanctioning and regulating official V:TES tournaments, recording V:TES players' ratings (and rankings).V:EKN Princes are volunteers who promote V:TES at the local level by, for example, coordinating tournaments and demos.MembershipAll players who register with V:EKN shall be assigned a unique V:EKN membership number. Only registered players with an active standing shall be able to hold Volunteer Officer Positions. A player must play in at least one officially sanctioned event within the past 18 months to be considered active. Also has responsibility for creatingdesign templates both for new cards and any reprint of historical cards.ScribeActs as secretary to meetings and prepares material for release by the V:EKN.Elections for Chairman/Vice ChairmanElections take place every three years for the positions of Chairman/ViceChairman or earlier if required through positions being vacant through retirement,injury, illness, death, removal or any other relevant reason that causes theincumbent to be unable to perform the role.The Chairman/Vice Chairman pairing are elected on a joint ticket.Nominations must be sent to the secretary of the meeting (Hugh Angseesing hugh.angseesing@gmail.com for Sweden 2013) and their nominated designate (Isak Esbjörnsson Bjärmark isakbe@gmail.com for Sweden 2013) two weeks prior to the national coordinator meeting at which the election will take place. Nominations can be sent via e-mail or via V:EKN website.Nominations will open at least two months prior to the election to allow a minimum of six weeks discussion and debate.Eligibility to stand Chairman/Vice ChairmanChairmanTo be nominated to the position of Chairman the nominee must be:o A member of the V:EKNo A prince/NCs/ICs (or combination of) for a year prior to the nomination or can otherwise show ability to organise and support a diverse group of person through a community activity.o Supported by two princes/NCs/ICs during the nomination process.Voting procedure for Chairman/Vice Chairmano Vote will be conducted by the secretary of the meeting and the nominated members can attend or send a designate on their behalf.o Each NC present at the meeting has one non-transferable vote.o NCs not at the meeting may send their voting/other notes to the secretary a minimum of one week before the meeting.o Votes will be conducted by show of hands plus any votes the secretary/designate have received prior to the meeting.o The candidate pairing with the most votes will be elected Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.o There will be a 30 day handover period from the incumbent Chairman and Vice Chairman to the new Chairman and Vice Chairman.Location of the next electionNational Coordinator and Inner Circle meetingEuropean Continental Championship 2013Stockholm, SwedenFriday 4th OctoberTime TBC National Coordinators (NCs)National coordinators are appointed through the princes they represent.This is a relatively informal process and princes are able to raise concerns they have through the V:EKN (Chairman/Vice Chairman or other suitable position) .National coordinators represent their constituency or players at an international level both on the V:EKN forums and at meetings between the Inner Circle and the national coordinators. PrincesA prince can only be appointed by the national coordinator of his or her country or a member of the Inner Circle.Responsibilities for a prince are set out on the V:EKN website but include having a strong familiarity with the game, ruling and errata, organising players and tournaments in their area, reporting tournaments and promoting the game to a wider audience.
